Swords United Methodist Church (Buckhead, Ga.) records
In 1912, land was deeded to Mr. Sword and a group of men to start a church and cemetery in Buckhead, GA. Throughout the years, church attendance has declined drastically, but attempts are being made to increase it. Within the last 100 years, the church has installed a bathroom and central heating and air, but the gothic-styled building has mostly remained the same. Swords UMC disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2023.
