Lula United Methodist Church (Lula, Ga.) records

In 1886, trustees of the Southern Methodist Church of the North Georgia Conference at Lulu, GA, purchased land on which Lulu United Methodist currently stands today. The original church building included a sanctuary with a pot belly stove at the front of the church. Years later, a basement and Sunday School rooms were added, the sanctuary was renovated, and the parsonage was remodeled. In the early 2000s, a building project began to build a separate fellowship hall, housing Sunday School rooms upstairs, kitchen and dining area, and a gym area for the youth activities downstairs. Lula United Methodist Church was once a part of a five-church circuit, but the union ended in the 1970s. Lula Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2023.
